Dahod exposé claims corruption in Vidya Sahayak recruitment
An exposé by an activist today shed light on corruption within recruitment for the vidya sahayak post in Dahod.
Youth leader and activist Yuvrajsinh Jadeja exposed corruption in the process of teacher recruitment in a trust-run government-aided Ashramshala of Dahod’s Sanjeli. He said that malpractices exist in the recruitment of mathematics and science teachers.
Jadeja held a conference in Gandhinagar and revealed the malpractice in the recruitment of Vidha Sahayak in Dahod district. Not only Dahod, he claimed that corruption is also prevalent in the recruitments that took place in Santrampur, Umargam, and Ambaji, where the job Vidya Sahayak was offered for ₹35 lakh.
According to Jadeja, despite a watchful eye on recruitment for a long time, irregularities have plagued the recruitment of Ashram schools. Such schools are there to ensure that children of SC and ST communities of Gujarat are getting a good education.
Audio proof available
Jadeja claimed that corruption was committed by the administrators of the school, and a complaint has also been filed with an audio recording to the district education officer. However, no action has been taken yet.
He claimed that the audio would prove a deal of ₹35 lakh, in which an amount ₹23 lakh was already paid by the candidate to the administrator and the candidate has admitted that in the audio.
The recruitment process took place from Jan 20-28, 2024. According to Jadeja, a temporary worker at the Ashram Shala managed the deal for his child and even threatened other candidates in person.
The candidate's father threatening other candidates is also evidenced, said Jadeja.
Dahod DEO informed
Regarding the inaction of the government system, Jadeja said that we have already informed the district education officer (DEO) of Dahod and all the officials know what is going on with the recruitment, however, no action has been taken.
He demanded that strict measures should be taken by the government regarding the issue.
