India’s javelin star Neeraj Chopra will miss the Asian Games 2026 after suffering a ligament tear in his ankle during training. Following discussions with his medical team, Chopra has decided to sit out the rest of the season. The injury also rules him out of the Diamond League Final and World Athletics Ultimate Championships after a season-best 88.05m in Lausanne.
