Minor gangraped in Ambaji; accused still at large

A horrifying incident of gang-rape has come to light in Ambaji, Gujarat. A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped multiple times by six persons. A complaint has been registered and investigation is underway in the case.

According to the police, the victim was on way to her paternal uncle’s house when an acquaintance offered to drop her. However, the acquaintance took her to an isolated location where he and five of his accomplices raped the girl. After the assault, the victim lost consciousness and the accused fled the scene.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the police filed a complaint and initiated an investigation. The victim was sent for a medical examination.

In the past month, several such incidents have been reported in Gujarat. In Dhrangadhra, a 5-year-old girl was molested by a drunk man. The accused was arrested, but the incident has sent shockwaves through the village.

In Mehsana, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped in a hotel. The victim claimed that the police did not take immediate action after her complaint and failed to name any accused in the FIR.

Previously, in Dahod, a school principal was arrested for allegedly molesting and killing a 6-year-old girl. The body of the victim was found hidden on the school premises.
