A wave of child abuse cases have hit Gujarat last month where teenagers and even girls aged 5-6 years were molested, raped, or even killed in the state. Even after such gruesome incidents, the ruling government has kept quiet as the state awaits action against the culprits.

In Dhrangadhra, a 5-year-old girl was molested by a drunk man when she was alone. Although the police caught the accused, this incident has shook the  village.

In another incident in  Mehsana, a 16-year-old was raped in a hotel four days ago. The girl also alleged that the police did not take any action against the accused even after filing a complaint, and no accused was named in the complaint.

Before that, in Dahod, a school principal molested and killed a six-year-old in car, and then hid her body in the school premises itself.

The incident sent shockwaves across the state, raising questions about women safety in the state.
