Congress’ Thakor trailing behind another BJP’s Thakor in Patan

While the early trends showed Congress’ Chandanji Thakor’s spell in Patan, the BJP’s Bharatsinhji Dabhi Thakor seems to have been leading his way towards victory as per Election Commision of India (ECI) trends.

Patan, the northern district of Gujarat saw one of the highest active voter engagement with 54.58% of voter turnout on the election day during phase III on May 7.

BJP’s Bharatsinhji Dabhi Thakor and Congress Chandanji Thakor faced each other in the Patan Lok Sabha constituency.

In 2019, BJP’s Thakor won with 6,33,368 votes and defeated Congress’ Jagdish Thakor who got 4,39,489 votes.

Bharatsinhji Dabhi is a member of the legislative assembly from the Kheralu constituency in Gujarat for its 12th, 13th and 14th legislative assembly.

Chandanji Thakor was a member of the Gujarat legislative assembly between 2017 and 2022 from Sidhpur.

BJP has won in this parliamentary constituency since 2014 when Liladhar Vaghela was contesting against Congress’ Bhavsinh Rathod.
