Flooding in South Gujarat Disrupts Train Services, 7 Short-Terminated, 2 Kutch Trains Cancelled

Continuous heavy rainfall in South Gujarat has severely affected railway operations after waterlogging was reported on the Sachin–Bhestan and Navsari–Maroli railway sections on Wednesday. Several long-distance trains were short-terminated at Surat, Vapi, Valsad and Dahanu Road, while two trains from Bhuj to Bandra Terminus were cancelled.

According to Western Railway, the following services were affected:

Train No 12215/12216 Delhi Sarai Rohilla–Bandra Garib Rath Express was terminated at Surat and returned from there.

Train No 12479 Jodhpur–Bandra Suryanagari Superfast Express and Train No 12489 Shri Ganganagar–Dadar Superfast Express were short-terminated at Vapi.

Train No 14707 Hanumangarh–Dadar Ranakpur Express and Train No. 12996 Ajmer–Bandra Superfast Express operated only up to Valsad.

Train No 12972 Bhavnagar Terminus–Bandra Superfast Express was run only up to Dahanu Road.

Train No 09012 Bhuj–Bandra Terminus Special and Train No. 22956 Bhuj–Bandra Terminus Kutch Superfast Express were completely cancelled.

Rain continues to affect Mumbai rail services, two more trains cancelled

Heavy rainfall continued to disrupt train operations in Mumbai on Wednesday. Western Railway announced changes to the operation of five trains departing from Mumbai.

Due to the non-availability of link rakes, Train No. 12955 Mumbai Central–Jaipur Superfast Express and Train No. 22484 Gandhidham–Bhagat Ki Kothi Express were cancelled for operational reasons.

Train No. 19037 Bandra Terminus–Barauni Avadh Express was delayed by 1.5 hours.

Train No. 09087 Mumbai Central–Ahmedabad Special was delayed by 1 hour.

Train No. 19315 Indore–Asarva Express was delayed by 6 hours.
