As the demolition drive continues on the third consecutive day in the holy city of Dwarka, religious encroachments on Hatila Hanuman Road in Okha have been cleared.

Due to the mega demolition drive, restrictions have been imposed on the movement of pilgrims to Bet Dwarka.

Barricades have been set up to prevent entry into Dwarka. However, the temple's worship rituals and programs are proceeding as usual.

On Sunday, 110 more residential properties worth ₹13,12,72,000 crore were razed by the authorities.

On Saturday, a total of 76 residential buildings worth ₹6.72 crore spanning across 12,500 sq m was razed.

After issuing notices the authorities including the Dwarka prant officer, and a team of over 1000 police personnel razed the residential and commercial buildings.

A total of 52 residential properties worth ₹2.95 crore were razed and government land of 5,500 sq m was restored in Balapar.

Additionally, to ensure that no untoward incidents occur in the area, the police department is maintaining a vigilant watch. For this, drone cameras and CCTV surveillance are being utilized. The area where the encroachment removal process is underway has been completely cordoned off by the police.

Minister of State for Home Affairs, Harsh Sanghavi, shared videos of the encroachment removal process on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). Along with the video, he wrote, “Bet Dwarka is the sacred land of faith for millions of people across the country. We will not allow any kind of illegal encroachment on Krishna’s land. Protecting our faith and culture is our responsibility.”

As the demolition drive is underway on the second consecutive day, more residential properties are believed to be razed on Sunday.
