Massive Fire at Bangkok Pub Kills 27, Leaves Several Critically Injured

At least 27 people were killed and dozens injured after a massive fire broke out at a pub in Bangkok, Thailand’s capital, late on Sunday night.

As per reports, the blaze erupted at the Na Ladprao pub in northern Bangkok around midnight, triggering panic as patrons rushed to escape. Eyewitness videos circulating on social media showed flames engulfing the entrance while thick black smoke rapidly spread through the building.

Firefighters reached the spot soon after the incident and battled the flames for nearly 30 minutes before bringing the situation under control.

According to officials, 63 people were reportedly rushed to hospitals following the fire, with 22 of them reported to be in critical condition. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the incident.

Victims found near exits and restrooms

Reports suggest that several victims were discovered near one of the emergency exits, raising concerns that the escape route may have been blocked during the chaos.

Thailand Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul visited the site and said the exact cause of the fire has not yet been established.

A musician who had been performing at the pub reportedly told officials that he noticed smoke coming from an electrical circuit breaker near the stage shortly before the power supply failed. Moments later, an explosion was heard and the premises quickly filled with smoke.

The prime minister said many of the victims were found near the washrooms at the rear of the establishment.
