With Lok Sabha elections at an arm’s length, the anger of the Kshatriya community against the BJP candidate for the Rajkot seat, Parshottam Rupala, ceases to stop. This time, BJP state president CR Patil has urged Kshatriyas to forgive Rupala.

A meeting was held today at the residence of CR Patil in Gandhinagar, with chief minister Bhupendra Patel, minister of state for home Harsh Sanghavi, and Kshatriya leaders of BJP present.

Kshatriya leaders Bhupendra Singh Chudasma, Balwant Singh, IK Jadeja, Kesridev Singh Jhala, Jayraj Singh Parmar, and Jaydrath Singh Parmar were also present in the meeting.

The meeting was held to discuss how to pacify the Kshatriya community’s outrage against Rupala.

In the meeting, CR Patil reportedly requested forgiveness from the Kshatriya community with folded hands. Patil said, “The resentment remains despite Rupala’s apology. I also request the Kshatriya community to forgive Rupala with a big heart.”

He also added that there are no thoughts of changing the candidate for the Rajkot seat, and Rupala’s candidature stays.

Immediately after the meeting, another meeting was held, attended by CM Bhupendra Patel, CR Patil, Harsh Sanghavi, Rajni Patel, and Vinod Chavda.

Importantly, a meeting between the coordination committee of the Kshatriya Samaj and the BJP will be held at 3 p.m. in Gota, Ahmedabad on Mar 3.
