Rupala’s controversy sparks nationwide Kshatriya agitation against BJP

Days after union minister Parshottam Rupala remarked on the Kshatriya community, “#Rajputs_boycott_BJP” was flowing through social media

As the Lok Sabha elections are nearing, difficulties for the ruling party are spreading like wildfire across the state and even engulfing the nation.

Days after union minister Parshottam Rupala remarked on the Kshatriya community, “#Rajputs_boycott_BJP” was flowing through social media.

Kshatriyas have also parted ways into two factions, where one is with the BJP and the other is not.

A potential crisis in BJP looms if Kshatriya's opposition against the party intensifies.

Anti-BJP fervour?

Flames of agony against Rupala have been witnessed across Gujarat. Posters opposing the BJP and Rupala have taken the walls of remote villages in Saurashtra.

BJP leaders in villages are now prohibited by the villagers from entering the village for campaigning. The protest will continue until the party withdraws Rupala's candidature.

Some Kashatriya majority villages have even protested to boycott voting for the upcoming elections if Rupala continues to contest the elections.

Meanwhile, sources also said that the BJP’s leaders, who are discontent with the party’s ticket allotment, have conspired against Rupala to increase the party’s difficulties in Lok Sabha elections.
