Central Gujarat Receives Heaviest Rainfall in Two Hours; Vaso Tops State With 124 mm

Central Gujarat received the heaviest rainfall in the state between 8 am and 10 am on Friday, with Vaso taluka in Kheda district recording 124 mm, the highest rainfall during the two-hour period, according to the State Emergency Operation Center (SEOC), Gandhinagar.

Petlad in Anand district received 104 mm, while Nadiad recorded 95 mm. In south Gujarat, Umarpada in Surat district logged 85 mm, followed by Sojitra (80 mm), Khambhat (77 mm), Borsad (75 mm), Songadh (74 mm), Ukai (71 mm) and Netrang (70 mm).

Other areas receiving significant rainfall included Mahudha (69 mm) in Kheda, Mangrol (65 mm) in Surat and Dediapada (57 mm) in Narmada district. Moderate rainfall was also recorded in Kathlal (54 mm), Tarapur (45 mm), Anand (44 mm), Areth (42 mm) and Uchchhal (36 mm).
