Bajrang Dal reaches Waqf board office, makes people send suggestions to JPC

The Gandhinagar unit of Bajrang Dal today went to the office of the Gujarat State Waqf Board in Gandhinagar at the State Secretariat to make people sign the petition in favour of the Waqf (Amendment) Bill.

Shaktisinh Zala of Bajrang Dal unit of Gandhinagar shared that Bajrangis of have successfully completed the campaign by asking people to scan the code to sign the petition in a peaceful manner in the Waqf branch itself.

After the banner was put on the wall of the Waqf Board, people around the office started to scan the code and send their suggestions, he said.

Notably, the Waqf Amendment Bill, aimed at bringing reforms in the management of Waqf properties is currently being discussed and deliberated upon by the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) appointed by the Centre.

The proposed changes in the Waqf Act have created a political divide, though the JPC Chairman Jagdambika Pal has categorically stated that the panel is brainstorming ideas and suggestions to bring a Bill that benefits the poor, women, children and the minority community as a whole.

After the code banner was on the wall of the Waqf board, people around the office started to scan the code and send their suggestions, he said.
