According to Vejalpur police, the complainant, Nidhiben Parmar, works at an advocate's office in Shreyas Complex. She had gone to a Bank of India ATM opposite the complex around 5 pm to generate a new PIN for an ATM card belonging to her employer's wife, Mamtaben Parmar.
Woman Allegedly Distracted Inside ATM Kiosk
According to the complaint, Nidhiben entered the ATM while her colleague waited outside. After generating the PIN, she was waiting for the transaction slip when a man entered the kiosk and allegedly distracted her by repeatedly asking her to complete the process quickly.
Another man, who had reportedly been inside the kiosk earlier, then returned. The complainant said she became confused when the ATM appeared to take unusually long to complete the transaction.
The two men allegedly left the kiosk one after another.
When Nidhiben retrieved the card, she realised that it had allegedly been swapped. She immediately informed her colleague and contacted her employer.
Eight Transactions Reportedly Made
The woman and her employer subsequently approached the bank and were allegedly informed that eight transactions had been carried out from the account.

Vejalpur police have registered a case against three unidentified persons and launched an investigation. Police are examining CCTV footage from the ATM and surrounding areas, besides analysing the disputed transactions to identify the suspects.
