Rashid Khan becomes the highest wicket taker in T20, surpasses Bravo’s record

Afghanistan’s star all-rounder Rashid Khan, who also represents Gujarat Titans in the IPL, has etched his name in history as the highest wicket-taker in T20 cricket, surpassing Dwayne Bravo.

In 461 T20 matches, Rashid has taken 633 wickets, overtaking Bravo’s record of 631 wickets in 582 matches.

“It’s a great achievement,” Rashid told the broadcaster. “I never thought about it. If you had asked me 10 years ago, I wouldn’t have imagined this. It’s a proud feeling to be from Afghanistan and to reach this level where you top the table. DJ Bravo is one of the best T20 bowlers. It’s a great honor, and I’m looking forward to continuing.”

Rashid Khan’s Journey

Born on September 20, 1998, in Nangarhar, Afghanistan, Rashid Khan rose to fame as one of the world’s premier bowlers in limited-overs cricket. Making his international debut in 2015 as a teenager, Rashid quickly impressed with his unplayable leg-spin and unmatched consistency.

Apart from his bowling, Rashid is a handy batsman capable of providing quick runs in the lower order. Over the years, he has not only been a leader on the field but also an inspiration, showcasing Afghanistan’s cricketing potential to the world.

This record-breaking milestone solidifies Rashid’s legacy as one of the greatest players in T20 history.
