Indian youth in Canada donates part of his first salary to Ambaji temple

In a unique gesture of devotion, a 20-year-old Non-Resident Indian donated part of his first salary to the Ambaji Temple on January 18.

Ahmedabad resident Vivek Patel, who moved to Canada two years ago to study, recently got a job and decided to show his gratitude to the Almighty by donating part of his first salary. Vivek on receiving his first salary sent 140 Canadian Dollars to the Ambaji Temple.

Vivek sent the money with his cousin brother, who along with his wife went to the Ambaji Temple to donate the money on January 18.

On Bhadarvi Purnima, a fair is organised, which is attended by a large number of devotees. Around 31 lakhs devotees visited the temple in 2024. 

Last year, the income from donations, offerings, and gifts was ₹2.28 crore.
