Indian student dies in road accident in UK, four others injured

A 32-year-old Indian student died in a fatal collision on the A6 in Kibworth, Leicestershire on Tuesday.

“Chiranjeevi Panguluri, 32, was the passenger in a grey Mazda 3 Tamura, which was travelling county bound from Leicester towards Market Harborough, before leaving the road and coming to rest in a ditch,” said Leicestershire Police.

Pangiluri was later pronounced dead at the scene. Moreover, three other passengers, one woman and two men, in the vehicle and the driver were all taken to hospital. 

The two men passengers remain in the hospital with serious injuries which have been described as not life-threatening.

The police said that a 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving and has since been released on police bail.

Officials have asked people who witnessed the crash if they can provide any footage captured by them on dash cam equipment.

According to media reports, other injured passengers including Panguluri hail from Andhra Pradesh.
