PM Modi has assets worth ₹3.02 cr, owns no house or car

Prime minister Narendra Modi today declared his total assets amounting to ₹3.02 cr in his poll affidavit filed along with his nomination papers for the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency.
According to the affidavit, PM Modi has ₹52,920 in cash and fixed deposits worth ₹2.85 cr in the State Bank of India (SBI).
The gross total value of his assets is ₹3,02,06,889. He has not declared any immovable assets. Modi doesn’t own a house or a car, the affidavit said.
As per the document, Modi’s income increased from ₹11.1 lakh in 2018-19 to ₹23.56 lakh in 2022-23. He also has four gold rings worth ₹2.67 lakh.
Modi had declared assets worth ₹1.66 cr in 2014, and ₹2.51 cr during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Modi, who first contested from Varanasi in 2014 as the NDA’s prime ministerial candidate, is seeking a third consecutive term from the seat.
The Varanasi constituency with go to the polls on June 1 in the seventh and final phase of the elections.
