Delhi Constable Shoots Wife Dead After Marital Dispute On Kalyanpuri road

A Delhi police constable allegedly shot his wife dead on a public road in East Delhi’s Kalyanpuri area following an argument, on Monday. The accused fled the spot after the incident, and police have launched a search operation to trace him.

CCTV Captures Incident

Police said the couple had left their home together on a scooter on Sunday when they allegedly got into another argument during the ride.

CCTV footage recovered during the investigation reportedly shows the couple stopping by the roadside and stepping off the scooter before getting into a heated argument. Investigators alleged that the constable then took out his service pistol and shot his wife.

Marital Dispute Suspected

Preliminary investigation suggests the couple had been facing frequent marital disputes and often argued over personal issues. Police believe a fresh altercation led to the fatal shooting.

The accused was posted with the Anti-Theft Squad of Delhi Police’s East district at the time of the incident.

Probe Continues

After the shooting, the constable allegedly fled the scene. Police teams are scanning CCTV footage from the surrounding area and possible escape routes to track his movements.

Investigators are also questioning family members and people known to the couple to establish the circumstances that led to the incident.

A case has been registered, and further investigation is under way.
