AAP announces second list of candidates ahead of Delhi Assembly poll
Ahead of the Delhi assembly poll in 2025, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday released its second list of candidates.
The Delhi polls which are scheduled for February 2025 and dates yet to be announced by the Election Commission of India, AAP has fielded an additional 20 candidates, making changes to Manish Sisodia's constituency.
Manish Sisodia will now contest from the Jangpura constituency instead of Patparganj. Meanwhile, recently joined teacher Avadh Ojha has been given the ticket for the Patparganj seat.
Additionally, Rakhi Bidlan will contest from the Madipur constituency. So far, the AAP has announced 31 candidates and dropped 16 sitting MLAs.
The party has introduced several new faces including Anil Jha, B B Tyagi, Veer Singh Dhingan, Brahm Singh Tanwar, Zubair Chaudhary, and Somesh Shaukeen, who recently joined AAP, are included in this list.
Dinesh Bhardwaj will contest from Narela, Surender Pal Singh Bittu from Timarpur, Mukesh Goel from Adarsh Nagar, Pravesh Ratan from Patel Nagar, Anjana Parcha from Trilokpuri, and Adil Ahmad Khan from Mustafabad.
