Human Skeleton Found Inside Sealed Market In Surat, Probe Launched

A human skeleton was reportedly found inside a sealed and dilapidated market in Udhna, Surat, triggering a police investigation.

The skeleton was discovered at the old AP Market opposite Amber Colony on the Udhna-Navsari Main Road. The market had reportedly been sealed by the Surat Municipal Corporation for safety reasons.

Police, FSL Teams Begin Investigation

After receiving information about the skeleton, the Udhna Police reached the spot, cordoned off the area and began an investigation.

A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) also visited the site and started collecting evidence.

Investigators reportedly recovered a diary from the location, which could provide clues about the identity of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding the death.

DNA Test To Establish Identity

A DNA examination is expected to help authorities establish the identity of the person whose skeleton was found.

Police are also examining the circumstances in which the person died. The investigation will determine whether the death was the result of suicide, murder or another cause.
