VHP, Bajrang Dal workers stage protest at Danilimda Police Station over suspected cow meat

Tension prevailed at the Danilimda Police Station in Ahmedabad after workers affiliated with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal staged a protest alleging illegal transportation of suspected cow meat in the area.
According to police, a large number of activists associated with Hindutva organisations gathered at the police station on Monday and raised slogans demanding strict action against alleged cow slaughter and illegal meat transportation activities.
The protesters alleged that meat was being transported openly in an autorickshaw within the Danilimda Police Station limits. Activists claimed they had intercepted the vehicle and recovered what they suspected to be cow meat.
Videos of the protest, including scenes of activists raising slogans inside the police station premises, circulated widely on social media platforms, drawing significant public attention.
The protesters accused the police of failing to curb alleged incidents of cow slaughter and illegal meat trade in the locality. Demonstrators sat inside the police station premises and continued sloganeering for some time, demanding immediate registration of offences and strict enforcement against those involved.
Police officials said the meat seized from the autorickshaw had been sent for examination and verification as part of the investigation. Authorities added that legal action would be initiated based on the findings of the forensic and veterinary examination.
Senior officers reached the spot to pacify the protesters and maintain law and order in the area. Police said the situation remained under control and adequate security arrangements had been made to prevent any untoward incident.
