Vadodara BJP leader found dead in Mahi river, suicide suspected

Vadodara was left in utter shock today when the body of Parth Patel, BJP’s president and resident of Manjalpur area, was found in the Mahi river, in Anand district.

Preliminary investigations suspect suicide to be the cause of Patel’s untimely death.

After discovering the body from the river, Anklav police conducted a probe and identified Patel.

They informed Patel’s family, following which BJP leader Shailesh Patil and other workers reached the police station. Patel was the BJP president of ward no 18.

It appears that Patel’s family had been going through internal disputes for some time now, which had possibly left him under severe stress.

The BJP faction mourned his death and is arranging to bring his body from Anklav to Vadodara.
