Three held in Banaskantha with drugs worth ₹1.07 cr near Rajasthan border

Amidst the amped-up security during the Lok Sabha elections, three men attempting to smuggle drugs worth more than ₹1 cr into the state from Rajasthan were apprehended near a check post in Banaskantha on April 18.
The police at the Amirgarh check post in Banaskantha, which lies on the border of Gujarat and Rajasthan, announced this massive bust of 1.720 kg of drugs from a car with a Jamnagar number plate. All three of the accused men also hail from Jamnagar.
The suspects are identified as Israk Arif Baloch, Sohail Osman Sandhi, and Aslam Abdul Sattar Darjada.
The drug consignment is said to be Mephedrone, which is worth around ₹1.07 cr.
The police seized their car, drugs, and other items worth a total of ₹1.16 cr.
Police are investigating the details and delivery locations of this drug bust made at the state border.
It is believed that the suspects were arriving from Ajmer, Rajasthan.
A case has been registered against the three suspects under the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act.
