Three from Ahmedabad drown in Mahisagar at Galteshwar

In a tragic incident, a group of friends from Ahmedabad who went to Galteshwar near Gujarat’s Kheda, drowned in Mahisagar River on June 2.

According to reports, nine friends went to Galteshwar, a Shiva Temple on the banks of River Mahisagar, located at Sarnal village near Dakor in Kheda district on June 2.

While bathing in the river, one of them started drowning, the other three friends tried to save him, and they drowned as well. Despite the efforts of locals to rescue them, only one could be saved while the other three unfortunately died.

The deceased are reported to be from Ahmedabad, from the areas of Khokhra and Vatva.

The Sevalia police has begun the investigation.
