These Ahmedabad areas will face water cut for three days from July 9

Amdavadis will face a water supply disruption from July 9 to 11 in 17 wards across three zones including North, East, and South.

Residents of Maninagar, Isanpur, Indrapuri, Amraiwadi, Hatkeshwar, Bapunagar, Thakkarnagar, and several other wards may not receive adequate water supply during this period.

Due to limited supply from the Raska plant, water shortages are likely in the Vastral and Ramol-Hathijan wards of the East Zone, as well as the Vatva and Lambha wards in the South Zone.

Water Committee Chairperson Dilip Bagadiya said that the water cut is due to repair work on the Shedhi Canal gate, which has led to a reduction in water levels.

Consequently, the usual gravity-based flow of water will decrease. A limited amount of water will be diverted from Kotarpur to mitigate the issue across all three zones. Efforts are being made to ensure the problem remains minimal.

While evening water supply will be unavailable during this period, residents will receive a limited amount of water in the mornings as per the usual schedule. Arrangements are being made to manage this adjusted supply.
