Suspecting wife of infidelity, Ahmedabad man travels to Surat, knives her

A complaint has been filed at the Salabatpura police station in Surat, where a man from Ahmedabad was booked for attacking his wife in public. He has been booked for attempting to murder her.
As per reports, Danilimda resident Amir Umarkhan Pathan married Asma 12 years ago. When Pathan stopped working for the past 1 year, Asma started working to support the family.
She worked in a catering business in Ahmedabad. However, Pathan suspected her of infidelity, and arguments emerged due to a lack of trust.
As the distance between them widened, Pathan asked Asma to return to her parents’ house in Surat.
In Surat, Asma started working at a textile manufacturing unit near Udhana Darwaja.
On Tuesday evening, when she was returning from work, Pathan attacked her near Maan Darwaja.
Pathan slashed her neck and right hand with a knife. She was shifted to the New Civil Hospital in a serious condition, and her treatment is underway.
