Shocker in Gujarat: 16-year-old boy abducts, sexually assaults 10-year-old girl

A 16-year-old boy in Aravalli, Gujarat abducted a 10-year-old girl, kept her in his house for two days, and sexually assaulted her. The police have registered a case under POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) and abduction.
The 10-year-old girl in Dhansura, Aravalli had created an Instagram account on her guardian’s Android phone. Through this account, she befriended a 16-year-old boy from a nearby village. On December 31, the minor boy, with the help of three other teenage girls, abducted the 10-year-old girl.
The victim’s parents filed a missing person report with the Dhansura police. The police, after an intensive search, located the girl in a neighboring village on Thursday. During the investigation, it was revealed that the minor boy had developed an online relationship with the girl through Instagram.
The minor boy and the girl were both sent for medical examinations on Friday, and it was found that the minor boy had assaulted the girl.
The DySP stated that the minor boy has been sent to an observation home in Mehsana and a case under POCSO and abduction have been registered.
