A 54-year-old man, Chandrakant Patel alias Chandro painter, has been accused of sexually assaulting  four minor girls in a village near Vaso taluka of Gujarat.

The girls aged between 9 and 11 years were lured by Patel with chocolates and ice cream. Among the four girls, three were siblings. Initial investigation suggested that the girls were abused for about a year. 

When the mother of one of the girls got to know about the abuse, the family  filed a complaint with the Vaso police station.

Police arrested Patel and seized his mobile phone, in which approximately 35 photos and videos of the sexual assaults were found. The phone was sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for analysis. 

The Vaso police, Kheda police, and the local crime branch have formed teams to investigate the case.

Medical examinations were conducted on the girls, and further investigations will be carried out once the medical reports are received.
