Over 30 govt teachers in Banaskantha dismissed for irregularities over four years
The recurring reports of absent teachers in Gujarat’s government schools has increased, putting the future of students at risk. For the past eight years, a head teacher from Panchha Primary School in Banaskantha has been living permanently in the US.
The in-charge principal exposed the matter, causing the state education department to spring into action. The district education officer claimed that action against 33 teachers has been taken in the last four years. However, no action has yet been taken against the missing teacher, raising many questions.
According to the data, the highest number of disciplinary actions against teachers in the last four years was taken in Kankrej taluka (5 cases), while the lowest was in Bhabhar taluka (1 case).
A total of 4 teachers from Diyodar, 3 from Lakhani, 2 from Suigam, 2 from Dantewada, 4 from Deesa, 4 from Dhanera, 3 from Palanpur, 3 from Tharad, and 2 from Vav have been terminated in the last four years.
