Motorcycle catches fire on busy Anandnagar road in Ahmedabad, rider escapes unhurt

Panic gripped commuters in Ahmedabad’s Anandnagar area on Saturday after a motorcycle suddenly caught fire on a busy public road near Comfy Hotel amid the intense summer heat.

According to eyewitnesses, the motorcycle was travelling along the main road when smoke and flames suddenly erupted from the vehicle. The rider immediately abandoned the bike and moved to a safe distance as the fire rapidly intensified.

Officials said the fire department was promptly informed, following which a fire brigade team rushed to the scene and initiated efforts to control the blaze.

No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident. However, the motorcycle was extensively damaged in the fire.

Preliminary suspicion suggests that the blaze may have been caused by a technical fault or overheating, although the exact cause is yet to be officially confirmed.
