10 people rescued from Morbi waters after tractor trolley with 17 overturns

Heavy rainfall has led to a flood-like situation in Ahmedabad and several other districts across Gujarat.

A major accident was reported from Morbi, after a tractor trolley carrying over 17 people overturned by the force of water.

According to reports, the authorities immediately launched rescue operations, resulting in the rescue of around 10 people. However, 7 individuals are still missing, and search operations are on. 

District Collector of Morbi K B Jhaveri told media persons that rescue efforts are on, and the government has assured all necessary assistance.

The collector stated that due to the heavy rains, a tractor overturned on a causeway near Dhavana village in Halvad taluka. The strong water current swept away the tractor, causing 17 people to be washed away.
