But last year before Gujarat legislative assembly election, in July 2022, former MLA Dhirubhai Chavda, Kheda District Cooperative Bank’s former chairman, joined the BJP.

Former cricketer Yusuf Pathan’s name was also declared as a candidate of all India Trinamool Congress led by Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal.

TMC has fielded Yusuf Pathan against Adhir Ranjan Chaudhari of all Indian National Congress. Looking at these political circumstances Devusinh Chauhan has also maintained a good relation with the former cricketers Yusuf Pathan and his brother Irfan Pathan.

Earlier in 2012 when he was campaigning for the election of Gujarat legislative assembly, Irfan Pathan was present in the rally on the stage.
