Indian women make waiter apologise for anti-India remarks in Italy

A group of Indian women confronted a waiter in Italy after he allegedly made abusive and offensive remarks about India and Indian customers. The incident, which was shared on Instagram by user Khushi Dubey, has gone viral on social media. The video, titled “This is what happened with us in Italy,” shows the waiter, identified as Hossain, repeatedly using offensive language during an argument.

It is not clear what led to the confrontation. However, the video shows the waiter referring to the women and using foul language. As he continued speaking aggressively, one of the women asked him to mind his language, reminding him that they were women and deserved respect.

The situation became more serious when the waiter allegedly made insulting remarks about their nationality. One of the women firmly responded by asking him to be respectful and said he should know how to treat women properly. As the argument continued, two police officers arrived at the scene and intervened.

After the police stepped in, the waiter appeared to change his attitude and offered an apology.However, the woman insisted that he clearly admit he had insulted India. “No, sir, please say, I’m sorry for abusing India,” one of the women told him after he tried to avoid directly admitting his mistake. They refused to accept a vague apology and asked him to specifically apologise for his remarks against the country.

Sharing the video, Dubey said that Indians are often blamed for incidents abroad, but that is not always the reality. She added that people should always respect their country and ended her post with “Jai Hind.”

The video received widespread attention online, with many users praising the women for standing up against discrimination. Some said an official complaint should have been filed against the waiter, while others appreciated the group’s courage and called them true patriots.

Several users also suggested avoiding businesses that treat customers with disrespect.
