Man hacked to death in broad daylight near Gulbarg Society in Ahmedabad’s Meghaninagar

A young man was brutally murdered in broad daylight near Gulbarg Society in the Meghaninagar area of Ahmedabad on Tuesday, police said.

According to preliminary information, the deceased has been identified as Haresh Patni. Police said Patni was sitting outside a housing society when a group of unidentified men allegedly arrived and attacked him with sharp weapons.

The assailants reportedly inflicted multiple blows before fleeing the scene, leaving the victim critically injured. He succumbed to his injuries, police said.

The incident sparked panic in the locality, with residents and passers-by gathering in large numbers after news of the attack spread. Traffic movement in the area was briefly affected as crowds assembled on the public road near the crime scene.

Family members of the deceased rushed to the spot and expressed grief over the killing. The sudden and violent nature of the attack left local residents shocked.

Upon receiving information about the incident, a team of senior police officers and local police personnel rushed to the scene and launched an investigation. Forensic experts were also called in to collect evidence from the spot.
