Government teacher Sonal Parmar

In a concerning trend, the school teachers of Gujarat schools are enjoying absenteeism while on a government payroll. In a third such case, a teacher in Kheda has been absent for over a year.

After the cases of the teacher from Pancha Primary School head teacher in Danta taluka and another teacher from Uchpa Primary School teacher in Vav, a similar case has now emerged from Kheda.

In this case, a government school teacher has not attended school for a year and has permanently settled abroad without obtaining any notice.

According to reports, Sonal Parmar, a teacher at Hathaj Primary School in Nadiad taluka, has been continuously absent since Sept 1, 2023.

Parmar reportedly went to the US without obtaining any NOC (Non-Objection Certificate). The headteacher has reported this to the district education department, and her absence is being verified. The education department has also notified Parmar, but she has not responded yet.

Kheda’s dummy teacher

A video went viral today showing a complaint about a dummy teacher at a government primary school in the Kapadvanj taluka in Kheda. The district DEO will now investigate the matter.

According to the viral video, it appears that instead of the actual teacher, an imposter has been teaching the students, while the actual teacher is receiving the government salary in their place.
