Gujarat Board exams almost finished with main subjects out of the way

The exams of all the main subjects for Classes 10 and 12 of Gujarat Secondary and Higher Education Board (GSEB) finished on Mar 20 with overall easy papers, providing the students and parents a sigh of relief.
Two malpractice cases were reported on the day, one each in Ahmedabad and Anand.
For Class 10 exams in the morning session, it was the exam for English as a second language. Here, out of 6,64,022 students, 16,672 were absent
The second session had the Class 12 Commerce’s first language subject exams. Here, 4,576 out of 3,72,699 students were absent in the Gujarati language, and one malpractice case was reported in Anand.
146 out of 9,828 students were absent in Hindi, 22 out of 1,504 in Marathi and 38 out of 470 in Urdu. While 232 out of 41,529 students in English were absent.
The Class 12 Science had English first and second language exams. 209 out of 32,517 students were absent in the English (first language) and 484 out of 83,334 students were absent in the second language paper. A malpractice was reported in Ahmedabad in the English (second language) exam.
With this, the examination of all the main subjects in Classes 10, 12 Science and Commerce has been completed.
The Class 10 exam will conclude with the Sanskrit exam on Mar 22.
