Gujarat ATS nabs absconding cop Neeta Chaudhary
Suspended cop Neeta Chaudhary, who was on the run for over a week after getting arrested with a bootlegger was apprehended by Gujarat ATS (Anti-Terrorist Squad) on the night of July 16.
Chaudhary was found at the in-laws’ residence of Yuvrajsinh Jadeja, her bootlegger accomplice.
Chaudhary, an accused of a liquor smuggling incident on June 30 was caught with bootlegger and history-sheeter Jadeja in a car with liquor.
While Bhachau police tried to stop her, she tried to ram the vehicle into them. The sessions court cancelled Chaudhary’s bail on July 9 in an attempted murder case and ordered the police to take her into custody.
However, constable Chaudhary went underground after this and Kutch range police were unable to find her. Gujarat ATS received a lead that Caudhary was hiding in a village near Limbdi.
