Suspended cop, bootlegger aid Neeta Chaudhary absconding
Neeta Chaudhary, a police constable arrested for her ties with a bootlegger, went absconding, causing a stir in the East Kutch police force.
According to reports, the sessions court cancelled Chaudhary’s bail on July 9 in an attempted murder case and ordered the police to take her into custody.
Since Chaudhary was not present in the court, Bhachau police reached her house in Adipur, which they found to be locked.
The police also went to her in-laws’ house, but found no traces of her. Chaudhary’s mobile phone is in police custody. Various police teams, including the local crime branch, have been formed to apprehend her.
On July 1, a team of Bhachau police East Kutch Gandhidham nabbed bootlegger Yuvrajsinh Jadeja and constable Chaudhary accompanying him.
They were booked under the Prohibition Act after liquor was found in the vehicle.
