Guj Assembly budget session concludes with hopes of prosperity
The Assembly ended the 23-day Budget Session today for 2024-25 by speaker Shankar Chaudhary. MLAs of both the parties shared their vote of thanks to the speaker.
MLA Kirit Patel appreciated the speaker by saying, “In my two terms and having experience of three speakers, Shankar Chaudhary’s experience remains the best.”
Participating in the discussion of the proposal on the last day, cabinet minister Balvantsinh Rajput said that since the first Vibrant Summit held in 2003, Gujarat has evolved during the journey to the first Vibrant Summit held in ‘Amritkal’ of the country this year.
He said, today Gujarat has taken its prominent position not only in the country, but in the whole world, which is thanks to the far-sighted and forward-looking vision of the country’s prime minister Narendra Modi. Rajput said, “We are capable of sending safety pins to atom bombs in any part of the world.”
Presenting his vote of thanks, Congress MLA from Patan, Dr Kirit Patel, said that if Gujarat becomes vibrant, Gujarat Assembly will also become vibrant and the MLAs of Gujarat Assembly will also get the recordings of their speeches.
Taking a jibe at Rajput, he said, “Our industry minister is from Patan. If some investment comes to Patan and Banaskantha, the educated youth of that area will benefit.”
He added, “Every day, more than 2000 youngsters are moving abroad from Gujarat. So, despite being so vibrant, the youth of Gujarat is going out, which is a matter of concern for us.” He said India is now capable of evacuating 20,000 students from the Russia-Ukraine war, too.
MLA Jitu Vaghani shared thanks to all members of the legislative assembly including the speaker of the house. He thanked finance minister Kanubhai Patel for his budget which “will bring prosperity to the state”.
Speaker Shankar Chaudhary politely apologised for anything that may have hurt any member during his role as a custodian of the house.
