Family of three commits suicide in Mehsana due to harrasment by loan sharks

An incident has come to light in Kadi, Mehsana, where a family reportedly died by suicide after being harassed by loan sharks. A husband, wife, and their child allegedly jumped into the Narmada canal and ended their lives, as per reports.

A suicide note reportedly recovered from their car indicates they took this step due to constant harassment from moneylenders.

According to the reports, the family, residents of Sankheshwar, jumped into the Narmada canal, and a suicide note was found in their vehicle.

The police have seized the car, the suicide note, and a mobile phone, and the note mentions harassment by loan sharks as the reason behind the suicide. Kadi police have launched an investigation.

The age of the deceased was reportedly revealed to be in late thirties for the adults, while the child was around 10-year-old.

The bodies were reportedly recovered from the Adundra canal in Kadi. All three bodies were sent to the government hospital for post-mortem, and the police have taken statements from other family members and registered a case to begin further proceedings.
