Cadila Pharma MD case: Bulgarian woman submits evidence to rural court
Last year, Rajiv Modi, chief managing director (CMD) at the well-known Ahmedabad-based pharmaceutical company Cadila Pharma, was accused of sexual harassment of a Bulgarian woman working for the same company.
After the case took various twists and turns, problems seemed to pile up for Modi as the petitioner presented additional evidence, including a pen drive, to the investigating officer.
According to reports, the Bulgarian woman submitted a pen drive in Ahmedabad rural court, which included evidence of co-accused Johnson Mathew, who was said to be talking with Modi regarding deleting data from her digital device.
Moreover, the victim has also presented the chats of the incident with him as evidence before the court.
The investigating officer requested additional time to respond to the protest petition filed by the Bulgarian woman, leading the rural court to schedule a further hearing for Apr 23.
