Bulgarian woman files statement to SIT in Cadila Pharma CMD Rajiv Modi case
After considering her statement and the court’s nod, the investigation will be resumed

It was November 2023 when the Bulgarian women’s writ petition accusing Cadila Pharma CMD Rajiv Modi of sexual harassment and rape knocked on the door of the Gujarat High Court, and after three months, the special investigation team (SIT) finally recorded her statement on Feb 29.
In the case involving pharma honcho Cadila chief managing director (CMD) Rajiv Modi, the SIT summoned the petitioner, who accused Modi of sexual harassment and rape.
Chirag Koradia, JCP (Sector I) of city police, who is heading the SIT formed for the probe, filed the statement of the petitioner, a Bulgarian woman.
After considering her statement and the court’s nod, the investigation will be resumed.
The Bulgarian woman claimed that statements by witnesses were not taken fairly, and they were also posed threats on their lives.
Analysing the ‘A’ summary report, her lawyer has initiated further legal proceedings.
Recently, the Bulgarian woman suddenly appeared in court, challenging the ‘A’ summary report, based on which alleged sexual harasser Modi was given a clean chit.
The woman was missing for 34 days from Jan 24, saying that she went to the US for justice as her family was threatened by someone.
She also claimed that a few names that she had mentioned in her complaint were deleted, and they were not booked by the police.
