The Bulgarian woman who accused Cadila Pharma’s MD Rajiv Modi appeared in the rural court of Ahmedabad today and asked for the summary report that was in favour of Modi.

However, since the summary report was around 700 pages, she was asked to wait for two days for the documents. Moreover, for the English copy of the document, the complainant was asked to pay ₹7,000 for it.

It is likely that the woman will challenge the summary report after its analysis, and the next hearing was set for Mar 16.

The retired IPS officer Keshav Kumar’s statement was also acquired, who allegedly had suggested the woman not file the complaint. An investigation will also be initiated against Mahila SP Himala Joshi, who is currently on a long leave.

Case turning cold

Earlier, The Cadila Pharma MD's misconduct case had reached an impasse, with the special investigation team (SIT) unable to procure substantial evidence against Rajiv Modi.

In the meantime, the Bulgarian woman had also disregarded eight summonses issued by the police thus far. The whereabouts of the complainant woman were uncertain, with various speculations suggesting she may be in India or her home country.
