Bus falls into gorge in Saputara claiming 5 lives of pilgrims

A private bus carrying Char Dham pilgrims met with an accident near Malegaon Ghat, Saputara, in Dang district, resulting in the death of five persons and injuring several others.

According to information, around 50 pilgrims from Madhya Pradesh were travelling on the bus, returning from the Char Dham Yatra. The mishap occurred when the driver reportedly lost control of the steering near Malegaon Ghat. Among the five deceased, two were women, and three were men.

The incident took place around 4 am on Sunday. Upon hearing about the accident, local residents immediately rushed to the scene for rescue operations and informed the police. Five bodies were found at the site, while the injured were quickly taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
