Gujarati devotees among 50 injured after bus to Ayodhya meets with accident
A bus, which was mostly carrying devotees from Gujarat, en route to Ayodhya from Haridwar, met with an accident on the Agra-Lucknow Highway on Friday. The bus reportedly rammed into a trailer, killing three and injuring 50 people.
Out of the injured, two people are believed to be in critical condition.
Devotees injured in the bus accident have been admitted to UPUMS Saifai Medical College, Firozabad, and Shikohabad Hospital. Most of the Gujarati victims were from Dadara and Nagar Haveli.
The devotees were travelling to Ayodhya from Haridwar. The accident occurred near milestone 54 on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Firozabad district.
The police arrived at the scene after getting information about the accident and the injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment. The police have registered a case of accident and are conducting further investigation.
