Board evaluators demand delayed assessment over Holi festivities

Gujarat students also face trouble as exams clash with Holi-Dhuleti, hindering preparations

Ahead of the commencement of the Gujarat Board of Secondary Education (GSEB) class 10 and 12 examinations, the assessors demand the postponement of paper evaluations due to the Holi-Dhuleti festivals.

Over 60,000 teachers were called to evaluate answer sheets of class 10 and class 12 board students on Mar 24. 

As the festivities of Holi-Dhuleti coincide with the paper evaluation, the teachers have requested the GSEB chairperson to postpone the evaluation date for two days and reschedule it for Mar 26.

The board examinations of class 10 and class 12, often termed as one of the crucial assessments for the future of students, will commence from Mar 11 to Mar 26. Most of the major papers will be taken till Mar 22.
