Actor Rajkummar Rao has found himself at the centre of an online debate after allegedly deleting a comment responding to criticism over his participation in the ‘Modi Hai Toh Mumkin Hai’ song.

The discussion began after Rao shared an Instagram post supporting the ongoing student protests over the alleged NEET-UG paper leak. In the comments section, a user questioned his decision to appear in the song, saying it had affected the actor’s image.

Rao reportedly replied to the comment before deleting it. However, screenshots of the exchange were widely circulated on social media, triggering fresh discussion online.

According to screenshots shared by several social media users, Rao responded:

“I can never sell my soul brother. And one song does not define who I am, what I stand for or what my ideologies in life are. You can never know the pressure. I stand for what is right and what keeps us united as human beings. As long as my conscience is clean and I work the hardest nothing else matters. People who know me personally know who I am and hopefully one day I’ll be able to earn back your respect. I wish you luck and happiness in life. God bless you.”

The comment included the line, “You can never know the pressure,” prompting some social media users to speculate that Rao was referring to pressure to participate in the song. However, the actor did not elaborate on the remark or explicitly state that he had been forced or pressured into taking part in the song before deleting the comment.

Actor Calls For Dialogue And Fair Education

In his original Instagram post, Rao appealed for peace, dialogue and compassion amid the ongoing student protests.

“When young people feel unheard, it is a reminder that society must listen. Every voice deserves to be heard with dignity, fairness and respect,” he wrote.

The actor also urged students and authorities to engage through dialogue rather than confrontation, adding that “the foundation for that growth is fair education.”

Rajkummar Rao has not issued any official statement regarding the deleted comment or the viral screenshots. The actor has also not explained what he meant by the remark, “You can never know the pressure,” leaving its interpretation open to speculation.
