Police said Patel parked his Maruti Suzuki Eeco outside the shop. While unloading the goods, he allegedly left one of the vehicle’s doors open. When he returned a few moments later, he found that a black bag containing ₹6.1 lakh in cash was missing.
The cash was reportedly business loan money.
Police Investigation
Patel searched the area but could not find the bag. He then approached the Vatva police station and lodged a complaint.
Police suspect an unidentified person took advantage of the unattended vehicle and stole the cash-filled bag. Investigators are checking CCTV footage from the area to identify the accused and recover the stolen money.
A theft case has been registered against an unknown person under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Further investigation is underway.
