Surendranagar ACB Catches hospital peon, security supervisor accepting ₹2,000 Bribe

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has trapped and arrested a man in Surendranagar while allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹2,000 from a security guard.

The accused has been identified as Vinodbhai Kishorbhai Parmar (39), who works as a peon at the TB Hospital in Surendranagar and also serves as a Security Supervisor with J.K. Security Agency, Rajkot. He is a resident of Valmiki Vas near Dashama Temple in Ratanpar, Surendranagar.

According to the ACB, the complainant is employed as a security guard with J.K. Security Agency. The accused allegedly demanded ₹2,000 from the complainant in exchange for not causing wrongful harassment and ensuring regular attendance-related issues did not affect his employment.

As the complainant was unwilling to pay the bribe, he approached the Surendranagar ACB and lodged a complaint.

Based on the complaint, the ACB arranged a trap on June 25, 2026. During the operation, the complainant met the accused and engaged in conversation regarding the demand. The accused allegedly accepted the ₹2,000 bribe amount and was caught on the spot.

The trap was carried out near Jai Bhavani Jewellers, opposite Jail Chowk in Surendranagar.

The bribe amount demanded, accepted and recovered during the trap was ₹2,000.

The operation was conducted under the leadership of A.V. Patel, Police Inspector, ACB Police Station, Surendranagar, along with the ACB staff.

The trap was supervised by J.D. Mevada, Assistant Director, ACB Rajkot Unit, while Baldevsinh Vadhela, Deputy Director, ACB Rajkot, served as the in-charge officer.

The ACB stated that the accused was caught while allegedly accepting the bribe and committing criminal misconduct.
