Rohan Jaitley, Shelar, Dhumal among contenders for BCCI secretary’s post

Following the departure of the current secretary to the ICC, a few names have started doing the rounds as to who could become the new secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in his place.

The front runner is Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) president Rohan Jaitley.

The names of BCCI treasurer Ashish Shelar of Mumbai, Chairman of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Governing Council, Arun Dhumal and former President of Cricket Association of Bengal Avishek Dalmiya are trending on social media.

Sources told agencies that there is a growing agreement in the BCCI over Rohan, son of late politician Arun Jaitley, becoming the new secretary.
